The two-day MDLBEAST festival is taking place this weekend in Jeddah, showcasing standout performances by local, regional, and international artists across a wide range of music genres
Jeddah, January 29, 2026 – Balad Beast has officially kicked off its fourth edition in Jeddah, transforming the UNESCO World Heritage neighborhood of Al Balad into a fully immersive celebration of arts, culture, and music. The two-day festival by MDLBEAST launches Saudi Arabia’s events calendar, offering attendees a one-of-a-kind experience and the chance to enjoy performances from some of the world’s most acclaimed artists alongside regional and local fan favorites.
The festival’s opening night delivered a series of standout performances across its stages. On the Bab Stage, , Destroy Lonely set the tone with a high-energy performance, igniting the crowd as fans sang along to hits such as “BLITZ”. The stage also witnessed a landmark moment with Playboi Carti’s first-ever performance in Saudi Arabia, opening his set with “Timeless,” his iconic collaboration with The Weeknd, accompanied by dancers wearing traditional Saudi attire. The Bab Stage performances concluded with an exceptional set by global electronic music icon Alesso.
The Omda stage hosted electrifying sets by Saudi pioneering DJ and producer Cosmicat, melodic electronic favorite Ben Böhmer, and legendary artist Solomun. The Roshan stage reached peak intensity with high-energy performances from electronic music acts Dorar, Hakïm, and Caleesi & Kreis, while Saudi Arabia’s musical scene was powerfully represented by local heroes BiirdPerson, Zeina, Vinyl Mode, and Moayed.
MDLBEAST’s Chief Creative Officer and artist Baloo, who is set to perform at the festival tomorrow, comments: “Balad Beast is very special. There is so much to see, so many details. We stay true to its essence in the way we design every aspect of the Balad Beast experience. We find new elements here every year, and the alleys, the squares and the energy combined create something fresh every time we take it over. We project Balad onto Balad, it’s immersive and again, very unique, consistently. You can’t really stop moving. Stage to stage, there’s something to be heard and seen. It’s great to see what the artists bring to each dance floor. You can hear the joy in the music presented. We get very excited to throw our version of Balad’s block party, and this edition is no different.”
Balad Beast stands as the region’s ultimate weekend highlight, with day one setting an electrifying tone for the festival’s second and final day, taking place tomorrow. Fans are already eagerly anticipating upcoming performances from an exciting lineup of headliners, including Shaggy, Tyga, Naïka, TUL8TE, Franky Rizardo, and Pawsa.
The last batch of day tickets for General Access and the brand-new Backstage Experience for Friday are still available via NOFOMO and are expected to sell out soon. General Access grants entry to all stages and includes complimentary parking.
