Latin pop legend lights up Saadiyat Island’s open-air venue with energetic show that has fans singing, dancing, and pleading for more
Abu Dhabi, UAE – 01 February 2026: Global Latin pop icon Ricky Martin delivered an unforgettable night of music and celebration as he made his highly anticipated Abu Dhabi debut at Saadiyat Nights 2026, captivating thousands of fans gathered under the stars at a custom-built venue on Saadiyat Island.
The multiple Grammy and Latin Grammy Award-winning artist brought his signature rhythm and energy to the capital, performing a dynamic setlist that spanned more than three decades of global hits. From the infectious beats of Livin’ la Vida Loca and María to the anthemic The Cup of Life and Vente Pa’ Ca, the Puerto Rican pop legend kept the crowd on its feet throughout a night filled with dance, nostalgia, and celebration.
Martin, recipient of the first Latin Icon Award at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, reaffirmed his place as one of the most recognisable figures in world music with an Abu Dhabi performance replete with strong vocals, vibrant choreography, and well-crafted production.
During the concert, Martin shared his excitement about performing in Abu Dhabi for the first time, telling the crowd: “Abu Dhabi, are you ready to have a good time tonight? I love this audience. You are so warm and welcoming.
Your applause is my fuel, and your smiles are what keep me coming back to the stage. Tonight, I am giving everything I have. I hope you enjoy it.”
Fans basked in the moment, singing along to each song and dancing throughout the evening, as Martin’s charisma and famous hip sways set the tone for a memorable evening, certain to go down as one of the highlights of this year’s Saadiyat Nights.
Martin’s performance rounded off a spectacular January calendar of Saadiyat Nights shows, which kicked off with Diana Ross and Seal, followed by Ludovico Einaudi, Lewis Capaldi and Max Richter. The excitement continues in February, starting with global pop legend Mariah Carey on Saturday, 7 February, followed by Canadian rock icon Bryan Adams on 11 February, and concluding with John Mayer on February 15.
