ITALY, FEBRUARY 11, 2026–The 11th edition of Filming Italy Los Angeles starts on 10 February and continues until 14 February. Today’s guests include screening of Giovanni Allevi: Back to Life, in which Maestro Giovanni Allevi tells his story after battling illness. It follows him during rehearsals with his orchestra for his new composition. There will be a conversation with Maestro Allevi followed by a performance and award ceremony, and an award ceremony with Rosario Dawson.

Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Oscar winner for The Holdovers, is the honorary president of this edition. The ambassador will be Italian actress Anna Ferzetti, who recently worked on Paolo Sorrentino’s film La grazia.
Tiziana Rocca and the Festival direction. Tiziana Rocca is one of the rare female film festival directors in the world. She founded Filming Italy Los Angeles, Filming Italy Sardegna, and Filming Italy Special Venice. “Certainly, the road is uphill, because even though I’ve been doing it for many years, for more than 10 years in Italy – for 6 years the Taormina Film Festival, for 7 years Filming Italy Sardegna, reaching ten years of Filming Italy Los Angeles – within my festivals I have always tried to support innovations in the audiovisual field.” For Rocca, there is “a need for many more female directors who tell beautiful and interesting stories and who highlight the figure of women. I believe the path is now underway, so we hope that many women will choose other women.” Filming Italy Los Angeles has achieved exceptional results in these ten years, “with two Walk of Fame stars for Giancarlo Giannini and Gina Lollobrigida. We have worked on promoting Italian cinema, the territory, and we have made the peculiarities of our art and culture known here in Los Angeles. An now indispensable partnership has been created, also evidenced by the large presence of artists during the Festival. Moreover, the Festival has allowed authors and directors to help them find international distribution and to enhance them in the best way.”

Award; Dolph Lundgren, who will receive the Award for documentary Dolph: Unbreakable; one of the stars of the Oscar-nominated film Sinners, Omar Benson Miller; the star of the critically acclaimed series Abbott Elementary, Lisa Ann Walter; Tonatiuh, the actor who stars alongside Jennifer Lopez in her latest film, Kiss of the Spider Woman; Miyako Bellizzi, the costume designer nominated for the upcoming Oscars for Marty Supreme; Rayna Vallandingham, star of the Netflix series Kobra Kai; Micaela Ramazzotti, with the screening of movie Elena del ghetto; Paolo Genovese, who will receive the Award for FolleMente; singer Fausto Leali, director Giuseppe Piccioni.
Over the past years, artists such as Giancarlo Giannini, Monica Bellucci, Paz Vega, Anastacia, Danny Huston, Oliver Stone, Valeria Golino, Jeremy Renner, Spike Lee, David Cronenberg, Vanessa Hudgens, Bella Thorne, Michael Madsen, Matilda De Angelis, and Giacomo Gianniotti have taken part.
