Seven Days to Go: 7 Reasons You Can’t Miss the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships 2026

Tickets from just Dh65 as the city gears up for two weeks of world-class tennis, celebrity sightings, and family-friendly fun

Dubai, UAE – February 8, 2026 — With just one week to go until the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships return, anticipation is building for the city’s annual celebration of elite tennis, electric crowds, and vibrant off-court entertainment at Al Garhoud.

From Grand Slam champions to fan-favourite experiences, here are seven reasons the 2026 Championships deserve a prime spot in your calendar.

1. Australian Open champion Elena Rybakina returns “home”

Fresh off her Australian Open triumph, Dubai resident Elena Rybakina headlines this year’s tournament. Now based in the emirate and a former finalist here, the reigning Grand Slam champion arrives in top form — giving local fans a rare chance to see her at the peak of her powers.

2. Get closer to the action on the side courts

While Centre Court hosts headline matches from morning to night, Courts 1 and 2 offer free-access tennis via registration — and often feature major stars. Previous editions have seen the likes of Coco Gauff, Aslan Karatsev, and legendary doubles champions in action, making it one of the most affordable ways to experience elite tennis up close.

3. All of the world’s top 20 women — in one place

The WTA 1000 week (February 15–21) boasts one of the strongest line-ups of the season, with every player in the world’s top 20 confirmed. Expect appearances from Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Świątek, Coco Gauff, Jessica Pegula, and two-time Dubai champion Elina Svitolina.

Bonus: the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium sits right next to GGICO Metro Station, making matchday travel easy.

4. Selfies, autographs, and mascots

The Championships are famous for their fan access. Players are often spotted along the players’ walkway after matches — prime time for selfies and autographs. And no visit is complete without a photo with the tournament’s beloved mascots, Ace and Annette.

5. The ATP stars take over

Following the women’s final, the ATP 500 men’s tournament runs until February 28. Defending champion Stefanos Tsitsipas leads a strong field that includes former winners Daniil Medvedev, Andrey Rublev, and Ugo Humbert, with Félix Auger-Aliassime arriving as top seed.

6. Jack Draper makes his Dubai debut

One of the most exciting young players on tour, Britain’s Jack Draper is set to compete in Dubai for the first time. The US Open semi-finalist missed last year’s event due to injury — making his long-awaited debut one of the standout storylines of the tournament.

7. An expanded Tennis Village for all ages

Beyond the courts, fans can enjoy a newly expanded Tennis Village packed with games, competitions, sponsor activations, and photo opportunities. From tennis memorabilia at the Dubai Duty Free shop to crowd-favourite challenges like Catch and Win, there’s something for everyone — including families.

Tickets are on sale now, starting from Dh65, available via
dubaidutyfreetennischampionships.com and ticketmaster.ae

The Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships is owned and organised by Dubai Duty Free and held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
